Il y a longtemps, peut-être vingt ans, que nous entendons préconiser ce système comme un filon de nouvelles formes à exploiter; en'voyant la chose de près, et malgré certains aspects curieux de quelques - uns de ces échantillons micrographiques, nous avons toujours renoncé à entrer dans cette voie. Ce sont des industriels à court d'idées qui recherchent de tels domaines; quant à nous, le principe créateur de tous les arts nous suffit; c'est, une fois de plus, de rappeler la vie naturelle extérieure arrangée et adaptée par la volonté bien exprimée de l'artiste selon ses besoins.
L'originalité ne se trouve pas toute fabriquée en dehors de la pensée créatrice, ce ne peut être que de l'accident pittoresque. Non, l'originalité n'est que la transformation spéciale des effets naturels due à la vision personnelle de l'artiste. Ce n'est donc pas parce qu'on dispose d'un instrument de physique perfectionné que l'on peut se dire artiste original cela se trouve à la portée de tous les jeunes gens de quinze ans.
