That great Advantages have been deriv'd to the prefent Text of the New Teftament, from care fully collating the mof'c ancient Copiesand their belt Verfions, is undeniable. And, as there have been, perhaps, more Variations from the Original Reading in the Old than in the New Teftament; an Application of the fame Method to difcover raga Variations is at lcaft pardonable and, if fuccefsful, muf't be praife - worthy.
