Then it was debated whether to Dispatch both the Grantham and Shaftsbury directly from hence to England or to send one of them to fill up at Fort S. David and the Board Considering that in all probability it will be the. Middle of February before we can dispatch the Last ship by which Time we shall have frequent Southerly Winds that we have also reason to Beleive our Merchants will bring us in Cloth faster than those at Fort S. David and that their cloth Late in the Season may with more ease be sent up hither than ours can be Carryed thither It was agreed to Dispatch both the Ships from hence and that the George and Madrass Galley be sent with all Speed to Fort S. David to bring up what Cloth they have already on Hand and that the Deputy Governour and Council have Directions to return the George first, that we may dis patch her to the West Coast by the end of this Month.
