This is a consumer-oriented text with an emphasis on the insurance product. The discussion of risk management, in the first section of the text, has been significantly expanded; a new chapter on employee benefits and business uses of life and health insurance has been added and policy forms, that were printed in a separate booklet in the first edition, are now included as appendices in the text. Web sites of interest are listed at the end of each chapter as a point of departure for further exploration of chapter topics.
