This study describes a new approach to the area of numerical simulation, which allows researchers to observe results by the use of complex graphical representations. This approach has far-reaching implications for scientists, as it provides a method of seeing what is not normaly visible, such as heat conduction, flows, plasmas, earthquake mechanisms and torsion forces acting on a body. The text presents the computer graphics, image synthesis and computer animation necessary to visualize these and other scientific and medical phenomena.
