En publiant notre nouvel ouvrage, la loyauté nous fait un devoir de déclarer que nous devons ce titre heureux à un instituteur de Paris, M. Lambert, ancien président de la Société grammaticale. La mort ne lui a pas permis de mettre la dernière main à son ou vrage. Quelques feuillets nous ont été communiqués, en 1855, sur l'autorisation de la veuve, par M. Aubry, president de la Société des Imtitutews de Paris. Le travail de M. Lambert ne présentait que des phrases détachées. Du reste, il suffit de se reporter à. La première édition de notre grammaire, publiée en 1849, pour s'assu rer que l'idée des permutations de nombre, de genre, etc., en tooete sami, nous appartient. Mais nous tomons à déclarer que le mot Permutations est la propriété de M. Lambert.
