Nonnullae etiam ita scriptae sunt, ut historiam quasi quandam contineant eorum tem pomm, quibus 1i, qui illas scripsere, vixerunt. Atque hac sive a disertis et ingenuamm artium scientia expolitis hominibus prodierint, tanto cupidius legun tur; sive etiam ab iis qui lepore ac festivitate di ccndi camerint, non tamen propterea negliguntur. Historia enim, ait tus 1) quoque modo scripta delectat. Graves quaedam et philosophicae officii praecepta tradunt, falsas Opiniones evellunt ex ani mis quanta in virtute dignitas quanta in vitiis turpitudo sit, docent: quo in genere Seneca excellit.
