Guillaume duchoui. (2) publie chez de Roville, en 1555, une histoire du chêne accompagnée d'une description du mont Pilat. Il parle dans cet ouvrage de beaucoup d'autres plantes que le chêne. En 1560, le médecin benoit lecour Curtius, publie une histoire des arbres chez Jean de Tournes. La même année (4) jean bruyer, petit-fils de Champier, donne son traité des aliments (de Re qui démontre que l'auteur a de sérieuses connaissances sur l'histoire naturelle entière.
