Although details qof construction are not given to any extent it was the purpose Of the authors to clearly set forth the principles that underlie good construction. The main emphasis, however, is placed upon the principles of operation of different types or makes of subscribers' apparatus, together with a discussion Of methods Of locating faults and their correction.
This is the first part of the course and 1s mainly confined to subscribers' apparatus. The two other parts to follow, which are in preparation, will treat Of central Office equipment and out side construction.
