In excess and extremes; who have no bond to hold them firm to the truths which they know, since they are attached to them rather by chance than by any clear insight or who, on the other hand, entrench themselves in their Opin' ions with such obstinacy, that they will not listen to any. Thing that may undeceive them who determine rashly about that of which they are ignorant, which they do not under stand, and which, perhaps, no one ever can understand; 'who make no difference between one speech and another, or judge of the truth of things by the tone of voice alone,-'he who speaks ﬂuently and impressively being in the right, he who has some difficulty in explaining himself, or dis plays some warmth, in the wrong: they know nothing beyond this.
