The earlier version is extant in two manuscripts at the British Museum, Lansdowne 786 and Hargrave 20 At least one other manuscript has been reported as in private hands but is not now known, w ile there is some reason to suppose that in making the revision Wilmot had before him a text of the earlier play, differing in certain respects from those now extant.
