Inhaltsangabe

Genre paintings, or scenes from everyday life, were enormously popular in 18th-century France. Fragonard's Young Girl Reading, which dates from the 1770s, recaptures the aristocratic style of its era while offering a timeless meditation on beauty and the act of reading. The image graces the cover of this 64-page blank notebook, a portable companion that will easily fit into a pocket or handbag.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

A favorite of both Louis XV and Louis XVI, Jean-Honoré Fragonard (1732&;1806) was among the 18th century's most prolific painters. His witty, airy style was ideally suited to the Rococo era, and his work is easily identified by its frivolous subject matter and deft brushwork.
