"Tim Storrier is a painter of extraordinary technical prowess. His large canvases of burning detritus and turbulent seas adorn major collections around the world. In Lines of Fire, author Ashley Crawford investigates the source material for Storrier's paintings, revealing that the artist is as adept with the pencil as the paintbrush. Lines of Fire delves into the sources of Storrier's motifs - the snake, the burning rope, the campsite - unearthing links and obscure and highly personal references while considering the themes of mortality, religion, travel and survival in Storrier's imagery.
