First impression of the first UK edition. ***Please note that this is an ex-library copy. ***Very good in dark grey cloth-covered boards with silver titles to the spine. The boards are quite clean, but there are darker strips at the top and bottom of the spine which extend slightly to the boards where there was some library tape (now removed). Head and tail of spine and top corner tips slightly creased. No reading lean to the binding. Spine tight. Page block edges clean. No foxing. Internally also good with the following library marks: library stamp, barcode and remains of lending sheet to the front free endpaper (stamp offset slightly to the front pastedown), 'King Alfred's College, Winchester' library stamp to the printer's page, and a blank white sticker to the rear pastedown - no other visible marks. Pages clean with no marks or foxing. No creases or tears. ***In a very good red dustwrapper, which has not been price-clipped, retaining the original publisher's printed price of £2.00 net. The dustwrapper is complete and well preserved, with no creases, chips or tears. The orange colour to the spine is slightly faded, and there is a darker patch at the bottom of the spine where a library sticker was (now removed). Edges of dustwrapper just slightly rubbed.
