Leather. Zustand: Very Good. This 2 volume set in a slip case published in 1990 by Longman is a facsimile edition of Samuel Johnson's landmark original dictionary from 1755. It faithfully reproduces Johnson's monumental work in its entirety, presenting it in a format that closely mimics the original publication. VERY GOOD+ in a VERY GOOD slip case which has very light wear. It includes both the reproduction of *The Plan of the Dictionary,* which was originally printed in 1747 and also supplementary essays on the genesis and lexicographic achievement of Johnson's Dictionary by Dr. J. D. Fleeman and Dr. Brian O'Kill. Weight: 24 lbs / 10.89 kg. Size: 17 x 11 x 5.5 inches . . . . FROM THE DETAILS PRINTED ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE SLIPCASE: This set has been gently read if at all.
