Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
José Eustacio Rivera was born in Huila, Colombia in 1888. He wrote one of the biggest classics in Latin American literature, but he was also a lawyer and a staunch political activist. He died in 1928.
Juan Sebastián Cárdenas is a Colombian writer and translator. He studied philosophy in Bogota before moving to Madrid, where he studied at the Universidad Complutense. He is both an author and a translator. In 2017, he was named one of the best young writers of Latin America by Bogota39.

La voragine es la obra mas importante del Jose Eustasio Rivera y esta considerada como un clasico de la literatura colombiana y latinoamericana.
