The thinking is that using a warehouse, the size of which is the shared variable in synchronization terms, without the programming will aid in understanding to this difficult concept. The book also covers main memory, secondary storage with file systems, and concludes with a brief discussion of the client-server paradigm and the way in which client-server impacts the design of the World-Wide Web.

Biografía del autor

After graduating from Yale, Ohio State, and Rutgers, Phil started a career with Bell Labs, which developed into applied research on protocol design. Phil spent a number of years involved with the TCP/IP and OSI standards, both in domestic and international bodies. Since retiring, Phil Has been teaching at Rutgers, College of William and Mary, and is currently at Hampton University.
