Inhaltsangabe

While reading these essays about life in Kansas, you'll feel the breeze ruffle the hair on your arms, you'll picture the boiling clouds of a springtime thunderstorm, and hear the lullaby of cicadas on a summer night. These 80 essays offer the Kansas experience. Cheryl Unruh tells about growing up in a small town and about living in a place that has more sky than land. Flyover People: Life on the Ground in a Rectangular State received the 2011 Kansas Notable Book Award.
