Conley Stone “Snapper” McAnally is a retired army reserve officer and public school teacher. He is a former columnist for the Independence Examiner where he cataloged his experience as a teacher in “bush” Alaska among the Yupik and Inupaque Eskimos. Several of his observations have been published in Whispering Wind, a magazine about Indian life and culture. His blog, The Adventures of Conley McAnally, is at http://conleymcanally.blogspot.com. He is also the the author of several short stories and two novellas. He is the father of five children and grandfather of 15. He currently resides with his wife Beverly in Tucson, Arizona.
