ABOUT THE AUTHOR CAT MICHAELS ... started writing stories in fourth grade and hasn’t stopped since. After earning an M.S. degree in special education from the University of Kansas, she spent two decades helping students from kindergarten to college reach their potential. She also managed taining programs for a global high-tech firm and was a writing coach for students with Asperger’s syndrome and learning disabilities at a community college. Cat spins tales of everyday life, with a twist of mystery and fun, to open young minds to new ways of looking at the world. Irene Jahn's watercolor illustrations help bring that world to life. ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR IRENE A. JAHNS .... Grew up in a family of artists and formalized her skills with a degree in art and M.S. in human learning and human development, University of North Carolina-Charlotte. She has been a working/exhibiting artist as well as an art educator for many years. Irene was an organizational development instructor as a management consultant in the business world for twelve years before returning to art instruction as the head of graphic design for a community college.
