Kelly Van Nelson is a contemporary author, poet, and spoken word artist from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, now living in Australia. Her poems, short stories, and non-fiction articles have featured in numerous international publications and she regularly appears on radio and television discussing current issues prevalent in society. Several of her poetry movies have streamed at literary festivals and she is the co-curator and co-host of Wordsmith: A Poetry Podcast. She is represented by The Newman Agency.Graffiti Lane, her powerful debut poetry collection, showcased at the London Book Fair and became an instant bestseller, raising awareness and influencing change around bullying, mental health, and suicide.
