William Ricketts created a sanctuary for himself and his art in the Mount Dandenong hills in Victoria. For 59 years he worked in his studio creating ceramic sculptures of Indigenous Australians (now known as the William Ricketts Sanctuary) in a bushland environment. The sculptures appear to be intrinsic and part of the environment. This is William Ricketts' story, of himself and of his art. Minor rubbing of the book corners.
