Mr. Filo/cpl) (park of Charla/lawn, in the County of Kings County, prefented this aliembly with a Memo rial, fetting forth, that he hath been ever ready to contribute all the Alliltance in his Power, to repel His Majefly's Enemies from their injurious Encroachments on His Dominions and jolt Rights in norm-america, and to defend the Country t That in the Year One Thoufand Seven Hundred and Fifty-fix, he confented to the voluntary Inliflmen of three of his Sons, who ferved in the Expe dition formed for the Reduction of Crownfl'oint: That when they were difcharged from the Service, upon their Return Home ward, they put their Cloathing and other Furniture, to the Value of about One Hundred Pounds this Currency in their Chefi, which was unfortunately loft in the Sea: That this Summer, when the Enemy attacked Fort william-henry, they were fubfii tuted to go, and voluntarily went in the Stead of Officers who declined That they did this without any Confideration, purely to ferve their Country and oblige their Friends That he the Memorialil'r, was thereby put to confiderable Charge, and te ceiv'd Damage in his Bufinefs Wherefore he prayed for fuch an Allowance as fhould be thought proper.
