This Digest consists of (1) an alphabetical list of the cases reported under the several headings of Commission, Compensation, Rating, and General Legal Proceedings (2) a brief subject index of all the cases; (3) a summarised report of each case. It comprises cases decided in the year 1 906, of which complete reports have appeared in the estates gazette during that period. It has been. Found impracticable to include those in which the decisions have not been reported within that year without unduly delaying the publication of the book. The completion of such cases it is hoped to include in the next volume of the Digest.

The cases are, as a general rule, printed in the Summary in the order of the dates on which they appeared.
