Etiam Hertzbergius in prae fatione editionis disseruit optimum codicem esse G, plain sententiam Keilius in dissertatione Bonnae 1843 edita refu tavit, cum et G ipsum hand paucis locis interpolatum esse denwustraret et Neapolitauo c. Parem auctoritatem tribuendam esse iudicaret. Deiude Heimreichius (quaest. Propert. Bonul 1863) G plane spernendum esse demonstrare conatus est, qua de sententia Grummio persuasit, qlli et ipse (de codd. Prop. G et N auctoritate 1869) unum Neapolitanum sequen dum esse statuit. Tum rursus contra Luetjohannus (comment. Prop. Kiel. 1869) et Heydenreichius (queest. Prop. 1875) G auctoritatem N posthabendam nec tamen plane abiciendam esse volueruut, cum satis multae lectiones in N exstarent, quae interpolatiouis speciem praeberent. Quorum sententiam Lucianus Muellerus (praef. P. VI) fere secutus est. Benique Baehreusius in praefatione editiouis 1880 hanc auctoritatem codici N abnegat eumque eodem modo quo reliquos inter.
