Herbert Kohl has been teaching and writing for more than thirty years. He has taught every grade from kindergarten to graduate school and has written more than forty books, including the classic work 36 Children. He is a Senior Fellow at The Open Society Institute. Kohl lives in Point Arena, California, with his wife.
