Inhaltsangabe

What happens when a college graduate returns from circumnavigating the globe and meets a WWI veteran turned Montana sheep rancher? Beginning in 1929, The Pinioned Birds is a fictional account of the real life parents of the author, the trials of family and partnership framed by the rough and tumble of every day sheep ranching. The relationships between Crow Indians and the white settlers who bought their land are woven into an authentic historical look at the wool industry, the people of Billings, Montana, and of its famous Northern Hotel. This age-old coming-together story of two people raised in the different circumstances of town and country paints a rich mosaic of a unique time and place, and makes for a great read.
