Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, John Maher actively participated in Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International for nearly two decades, serving for eleven years as an officer of a large local chapter in Cincinnati, Ohio, including two years as that chapter’s president. During that time, he also joined with others from that chapter as part of a prison ministry team to nearby state and county prisons. Additionally, he traveled extensively throughout the Midwest to numerous chapters that invited him to testify and minister as a guest speaker. At the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, John founded a prayer and discipling group for men that met weekly for more than seventeen years. What occurred while participating as part of this group is the basis for some of the content of this book. After receiving extensive personal help from a long established deliverance ministry team five hours from where he lived, John trained with that same team to minister in a similar fashion to others, participating with them on a regular basis for seven years. In his local area, he then trained and ministered as a team with numerous other men, always under the direction of the Holy Spirit. In this book, he elaborates on details of how God moved through their obedience. Ordained as a minister in 2010 with Church Growth International of the Americas, John and his wife currently attend Heritage Fellowship in Florence, Kentucky, and work as a team praying for the sick and dying in local hospitals, homes and wherever, and to whomever, the Holy Spirit directs them. Having experienced many miracles through the years in their own lives and in the lives of their children, they have been encouraged by the Holy Spirit to continue to pray for and reach out to others, that those they minister to might likewise come to know Jesus not just as their personal Savior, but also as their Deliverer and Healer.
