Rodney Nelson began as a poet quite a few years ago but turned to fiction in midcourse, not returning to poetry until the 2000s. A lifelong nonacademic, he has worked in California as a licensed psychiatric technician and Arizona as a copy editor. Nelson’s other poetry books include Metacowboy, In Wait, Mogollon Picnic, Bog Light, Sighting the Flood, and Fargo. He lives in the latter North Dakota city.
