Reseña del editor:
His secret inner self emerges to turn John’s charmed life inside out. Why did he murder a helpless girl? In searching for answers, he confronts ruthless men sworn to destroy him. Lost lovers, his family and innocent others are swept up in a shocking betrayal—spawning violence and vengeance, and testing the limits of strength, courage, and loyalty—and revealing the unique resilience of women. His journey takes place amidst familiar events of the late twentieth century, but it transports him to mysterious places: where ancient life persists still, where good arises from evil, and where conventional notions of time are upended.
Biografía del autor:
Cletus R. Willems was born and raised in the heartland of the United States in the early post-World War Two era—a time when most Americans trusted in the goodwill and competence of its institutions. He writes of the loss of that feeling, and of the disillusioned men and women forced to confront injustice wrought by powerful and well-disguised elitists. His books arise from experiences gained in four continents while working as a wharf rat, a tool and die maker, and an attorney, and arising from his military service during the Vietnam Conflict. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and the University of Wisconsin Law School, Clete is married, has 3 children, and lives and writes from Bonita Springs, Florida. He is a member of the Visionary Fiction Alliance, a group of authors and readers promoting growth of consciousness as a central theme of preferred fiction, often using reincarnation and dreams as plot devices, and emphasizing the limitless nature of human potential. His characters are multi-faceted, life-like, and impacted by their times. His intricate plots lead to unique and surprising outcomes, reflecting an underlying hope that mankind will ultimately rediscover the simple and fundamental truths long obscured by selfish evildoers causing much of the chaos in the world.
