Tammy Kaiser survived a workplace shooting targeting Jews in 2006. Since then, she has taught and written about the subject of healing after tragedy and the effects of such horrific events on children. Her daughter, Mia Kaiser (co-author) was only 10 years old at the time of the shooting. Both women find joy in teaching young children and living every day to the fullest.
