These essays, or more affectionately, these devotionals that follow are one man's humble record of the questions, confrontations, exercises and merciful revelations that God's word has led me through in a discipleship that began when I was fifty-five. I don't claim a perspective more unique or illuminating than any other, but if you accept that my intention is to offer one man's humble appraisal of the many transformative moments he experienced on the road to faith, then you will have the perspective from which I wish to begin. I pray, that like Barnabus, they will encourage and accompany you on your own road in faith.
