Hiatus is the debut novel for Sam Polakoff. This sci-fi thriller was inspired by a recurring dream experienced by Sam Polakoff after the loss of his grandfather. The novel answers the question regarding what it would be like to chemically preserve a newly deceased loved one and be able to visit with them once a year for 24 hours. Sam Polakoff is the third generation owner of Nexterus, a supply chain engineering and technology firm based in New Freedom, PA. Sam and his wife, Denise, live in Maryland.
