Susan Guevara ha ilustrado numerosos libros para niños. Ha ganado dos veces el premio Pura Belpré al mejor libro ilustrado: por Chato y su cena y Chato y los amigos pachangeros. Estudió arte en la Academia Real de Bellas Artes en Bélgica y en la Academia de Arte de San Francisco.
