Foxing to the inner flaps, with some browning to the edges. ***242mm x 160mm. 371 pages including an extremely detailed 28pp Index at the back of the book. ***'In this second volume the excitements, challenges and anxieties of Virginia Woolf's own progress as a writer, of the Woolf's expanding circle of friends and interests, are described with an immediacy, honesty and natural eloquence which, in the words of a reviewer of the earlier volume, offers the reader a "rich and inexhaustible companionship"'. (Quote taken from the front flap of the dustwrapper) ***First printing of the true first edition, in very good condition in the original dustwrapper.
