Peter Beal is the director of the Department of Printed Books and Manuscripts at Sotheby s of London.
Peter Beal is an English manuscript expert and former director at Sotheby’s. He is coeditor of the annual English Manuscript Studies 1100–1700; previous books include Elizabeth I and the Culture of Writing, also published by the British Library.
