There are chapters on the Dovey, Coquet, Cumbrian Derwent, Camel and Teign, and a separate section on the smaller salmon rivers of Scotland by Rob Wilson. "Some of the finest fishing in Britain is available on the country's largest rivers specifically for salmon, yet there are many small salmon rivers in the British Isles that offer a superb challenge and are within the financial reach of all anglers. This is a guide to the methods of fishing those rivers. River characteristics are described from small highland spate waters to the chalk streams of the south, and advice is given on how to find salmon lies, flies, spinning, as well as playing and landing fish.
