Book is solid and bright with red cloth binding, gilt on front board and along spine; 717 pages, index, some historical b + w illustrations, maps. Overall, very good for its age. Some age-toning, yellowing to the white jacket with light rubbing, scratching; wear along edges with light soiling; UCLA original price sticker (1979) inside flap. The boards are nice with minimal wear, fading. Mild, average reading wear, some overall age-toning to the pages; mild soiling.
