For the record, ‘Gavin Alexander’, the author, is actually a pseudonym for Gavin Pritchard-Gordon, who trained racehorses in Newmarket for twenty-five years, before spending thirteen years as chief executive of the Thoroughbred Breeders Association and a further two years as executive director of British Bloodstock Marketing. This is Gavin’s first novel. He is now writing his anecdotes and reminiscences of his time spent in the world of horse racing.
