Inhaltsangabe

This is the story of Peter Rabbit, a naughty rabbit who doesn't listen to his mother and sneaks into a nearby garden. In the garden, Peter stumbles across a grumpy farmer and loses his shiny shoes and his new blue coat. He escapes - but not without a few hair-raising moments of danger! This picture book retelling retains all the excitement of Beatrix Potter's The Tale of Peter Rabbit, but with more accessible language and full-color, vibrant artwork.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Beatrix Potter is one of the world's best-loved children's authors of all time. From her first book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit (1902) she went on to create a series of stories based around animal characters including Mrs Tiggy-winkle, Mr Jeremy Fisher and Tom Kitten. Her humorous, lively tales and beautiful illustrations have become a natural part of childhood.

A source of inspiration was the Lake District where she lived for the last thirty years of her life as a farmer and conservationist.
