Frances Paige won the Romantic Novelists Award in 1974 for her book Vote for a Silk Gown. She went on to write many more novels, mostly set in either Scotland or France, all of which have been hugely popular. Her recent titles include The Confetti Bed, The Swimming Pool, The Summer Fields and, most recently, Game for Miss Cowan, all of which have been published by Severn House.
