DCI Casey and his less than politically correct sergeant rapidly come under pressure from their superintendent to put a couple of skinhead thugs behind bars. Arson isn't out of the question, but neither are some other possibilities, and Casey doesn't want to be rushed. The arrival of his pot-smoking, guitar-strumming hippie parents helps Casey to dwell on the far-out side of Indian culture. And, just how respectable is Chandra's businessman father, or her vindictive in-laws? Chandra Bansi was a modern headstrong young woman who was caught uncomfortably between two cultures. It's very hard to say which of them is the more dangerous.
