Steven Holzner has been writing about JavaScript for as long as it's been around. He's the author of 75 books on programming and is a former contributing editor to PC Magazine. A number of his books have been programming bestsellers, and he's had books translated into 16 languages around the world, selling more than 1.5 million copies total. He received his Ph.D. from Cornell University, and has been on the faculty of both Cornell and MIT. His hobbies include travel, chess, classical music, and writing books on philosophy. These reviewers contributed their considerable hands-on expertise to the entire development process for Inside JavaScript. As the book was being written, these dedicated professionals reviewed all the material for technical content, organization, and flow. Rory Macdonald currently lives in Glasgow, Scotland, and teleworks as a Senior Systems Engineer for one of Europe's largest domain registrars and Internet service providers. On his return, he became a web developer for university-level distance education projects before joining Cisco Systems, Inc., developing web-based intranet applications. Over the years, he has gained considerable experience in cross-platform dynamic web development. In his spare time, Rory loves to travel, snowboard, and ride motorbikes. Joel Lee is the Chief Operations Officer of JTL Networks, Inc. (http://www.jtlnet.com) in Columbus, Ohio. JTL Networks is an internet service provider, offering remote support staff augmentation, dedicated connectivity, enterprise software design, and managed shared and dedicated hosting solutions. Bryan Gintz is the Senior Software Engineer for JTL Networks. He has worked with various aspects of JavaScript since 1996.
