In a series renowned for the quality of its writing and its snappy, insightful dialogue this volume brings you the best of the best: the pivotal season two story arc in which Giles loses his lover, Buffy loses her innocence and Angel loses his soul. Long regarded by critics and fans alike as some of the best episodes of the entire six-year run so far, this classic set of scripts is a must-have for all serious Buffy fans. The five scripts in this volume are: *The two-parter SURPRISE and INNOCENCE: in which Buffy's ex-boyfriend becomes her worst enemy when the consummation of their love causes Angel to lose his soul and revert to the vampire Angelus. *PHASES: in which Willow discovers that Oz is a werewolf. *BEWITCHED, BOTHERED AND BEWILDERED: in which a spell gone wrong causes all the women of Sunnydale to fall in love with Xander -- which seems at first like a dream come true but soon turns into a Dionysian nightmare as their frenzied fighting threatens to tear him to pieces. *PASSION: in which Angelus murders Jenny to prevent her restoring his soul, and leaves her body in Giles' own bed for him to find.
