David Penhaligon was a rarity, politicians as a breed are generally not popular, but Penhaligan was more than popular. He was loved, not just by his constituents and the people of Cornwall, but by the whole country. This book explains why this was so, and what a tragic loss his early death in a car crash was to the nation, by robbing the country of a true statesman and possible future political leader.
