Inhaltsangabe

The world's number one snooker player, Stephen Hendry, has won three world championships and a total of sixteen world ranking titles, making him the most successful snooker player of all time. In this book he explains how it is done: from basics, like how to hold the cue correctly and how to form a bridge, through building big breaks and escaping from impossible snookers, to advanced aspects of positional and safety play. In a text packed with personal anecdotes, Hendry recounts his own experiences: weaknesses in his game and how he improved them; mistakes he has made and how he has corrected them; and, perhaps most important of all, how he learned to stay cool under tournament pressure while maintaining total belief in his ability to win. Hendry's own accounts of the dramatic moments of his career are as educational as they are exciting; for example, he has total recall of how he picked himself up psychologically to come from 14-8 down to win the 1992 World Championship final 18-14. "Snooker Masterclass" contains specially taken instructional colour photographs of Hendry and specially drawn step-by-step cartoon strips.
