Joyce Dunbar has written more than forty books for children. Mundo and the Weather Child was the runner uop for the Guardian Children's Fiction Award in 1986. She has also written many stories for children's educational series (Ginn, Collins) and for BBC Radio 4's Listening Corner.If You Want to be a Cat was shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal.
