True Tales from the Hoosier State's Past--from Squire Boone's cave to the Colts' move to Indianapolis Through both historical events big and small and through sporting feats that have inspired millions, Indiana has made its mark on America--thanks to the wide variety of people who grew up in, or settled in, the Heart of the Heartland. It Happened in Indiana goes behind the scenes to tell its story, in short episodes that reveal the intriguing people and events that have shaped the Hoosier State. - Learn how young Abe Lincoln and his family prevailed through tragedies that struck during his formative years in the Indiana wilderness. - Join one southern Indiana community on Christmas Eve, 1852, when it gave itself the name Santa Claus. - Lay in wait with the outlaws who, on a dark gloomy night in 1866 near Seymour, pulled off the nation's first train robbery. - Cheer on as Milan High School made history as the 1954 state basketball champions in what became known as the Milan Miracle.
