Gene Wolfe is winner of the World Fantasy Award for Life Achievement, and many other awards. In 2007, he was inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame. He lives in Barrington, Illinois.

The cover corners are not bumped and there is no rubbing to extremities. The book's only flaw is that there are a few spots at the top of the spine where they gray cloth is a little lighter. Not sure why. The rest of the covers and spine are spotless. The dust jacket is just-like-new and has been placed in a clear archival sleeve to keep it in pristine condition.
