With the plethora of recent developments in ARMD the aim of a comprehensive review by international experts is a potentially difficult task. The book covers its aims, with a clear and concise style being used throughout. There is useful information on treatment and technique and in-depth information on basic science and possible future developments in clinical practice. The book is well organized and handsomely illustrated, particularly the imaging section. Overall, I found the book enjoyable to read and informative. The references were thorough and supported by an excellent index. This book is a good reference text for medical retinal specialists and generalists wanting to bring themselves up to date with recent advances in diagnosis and management of ARMD.
